Donation to Japan

My neighbors had a garage sale.

They send 100% of sales to Japan.
The original proposers are 2 of international students from Japan.

They are twenties.

People complain often, "Kids these days...."

but Japanese young people are still not bad.

They sold hundreds dollars and they are planing another garage sale in next weekend.

d(>_< )Good!!

One of my patient is selling bracelets.

A bracelet is $5.

She already sold $1,500,000.

O...M...G...!

She will be 25 years old tomorrow. (☆★Happy☆>w(^0^)w<☆Birthday★☆)

"Kids these days... doing very good!"

Acupuncture Needle

My Acupuncture needles are running out.

I ought to have ordered those, but I have not.

Acupuncture shops are closed on Saturday and Sunday usually.

I noticed about my needles are almost out of stock at Thursday night.

And I forgot to check that how many which gauge I need.

And I was checking in between patients on Friday today, but I was confused.......

It's gonna be O.K.

Maybe...

Sorry, patients who are coming on Monday if all needles ran out.

No, I still have a lot of 3 inches needles.

Yap! I can manage it.

Maybe...

BTW,

Chinese acupuncturists use a lot of needle at one practice.

And they like to use thick needle, which are 0.2 to 0.25mm in diameter.

Korean acupuncturists stick those very deep.

We (other than Korean) are worry about if they puncture internal organs.
(When I was intern, a Korean intern punctured his patient's intestine and they called 911(((( ;゚д゚))).

I use the needles 0.16mm in diameter basically. (about 1/5 of full shot needle)

And Japanese acupuncture techniques are puncturing very shallow if compare to others.

So do not worry to receive my acupuncture practice.

No pain but gain! ψ(`∇´)ψ

This picture is not Terra's practice.
Terra does Face-lift acupuncture,
but This acupuncturist does little bit different concept as Terra's.

Japan Quake Map

I found "Japan Quake Map".

It shows you earthquakes by time sequentially.

It looks like bombing!

We are so lucky living in LA... (so far).

Farewell X TERRA

As you know my car has been Nissan Xterra.
Yes, Terra drives Xterra.

Solar yellow Xterra.

The lease term was going to be over in 3 months.

But this car already had 6,766miles over mileage.

So I decided return it before the end of term, because the over mileage penalty was increasing.

I found a good looking car.
"Juke"

It is good looking, good gas mileage, not expensive, very powerful and compact.

Yes, compact.

That was too compact to me (१▽१*)

And what I chose is,

Yes,

Burgundy Xterra!!

Yap!

Terra still drives Xterra.

Thank you Yellow Xterra. I have a lot of great memories with you. (१▽१*)

And Burgundy Xterra. Let's make a lot of wonderful memories. p(*^-^*)q

The Inheriting Ceremony,

And thank you Mr. Mike Kope the Fleet Manager in Gardena Nissan.
He is very nice.

I peeped a paper that was full of numbers.

He did not really take the profit.

Now I wish Gas Price is going to be low 。・゚゚・(>_<;)・゚゚・。

Permanent Resident

I am a Permanent Resident,

which means I am not an American citizen

but I can live in United State forever.

We Permanent Residents must have a Permanent Resident Card

that is generally called Green Card. (It was green in long time ago).

The card is expired in 10 years, but we can renew it easily unless we have done any crimes.

I went to Immigration Office to renew it in last week.

Renewal fee is $450 for 10 years.

We pay $45 per year for just living in U.S.

mmm...

Is it too expensive or inexpensive?「(゚ペ)

92 Hours

Woman Rescued 92 Hours In Iwate After Devastating Quake

A 70-year-old woman was rescued from a tsunami-hit house in Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture, on Tuesday morning, around 92 hours after the massive quake jolted northeastern Japan and caused devastating tsunami Friday afternoon.

Rescuers from Osaka found Sai Abe on the first floor of the house and an ambulance transported her to a hospital in Kamaishi.
Although her body temperature was low, she was not in any danger, sources familiar with the rescue said.

The rescue came 20 hours after the usual 72-hour deadline when the probability of earthquake victims surviving declines substantially.

The movie "127 Hours" is a true story, and this "92 Hours" is a true story too.

The nature has great power, but also human beings are really tough. (*`∧´)
Sai Abe 70-year-old
(however, Japanese news report 75-year-old)

Anyway, Congrats!! (^0^)v

Earthquake & Tsunami Attacked Japan

As you know, one of biggest earthquake and huge tsunami attacked Japan.

Every single person asked me, "Is your family o.k.?"

Thank you for asking. m(_ _)m

My family lives in Osaka where about 500 miles away from the epicenter.

And Osaka does not facing to Pacific Ocean.

So my family has no problem.

Sendai in Miyagi prefecture often receives tsunami attack.

There is a lot of earthquake too.

So "Tsunami" a Japanese word is used as English in U.S. today.

People in there prepare for natural disasters usually.

But this time, the happen was way over their expectation.

The power of nature, dreadful...

An Artist

One of my Japanese friends,

his name is Yuya Takahashi.

He is a hair stylist.

When he is not working for his clients, He is playing with his Mac.

Often he is watching videos that pretty girls are there.

I thought he is just an Otaku (a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, or video games: by Wiki: click here to read all)

One day, he said, "Terra. Watch this!".

He showed me a video, and he said, "I took this video".

OMG!

It's professional work!

(The video is here)

And he is the director of this shop ☞ (click to link)

I'm sorry Yuya. I was misunderstanding about you.

You are definitely not just an Otaku.

You are an Artist! (^_-)v

Yuya Takahashi's website (click here)

But I'm still wondering.

Is he Otaku Artist?(゚_。)?

Gasoline

I found a news about gasoline in MSN Japan news today.

Japan Energy Laboratory The Oil Information Center announced,

"Retail price of regular gasoline in average of 2,000 gas stations became 145Yen/Liter.
This is first time in 2 years 5 months".

Japanese regular gasoline = U.S. premium gasoline in octane value.

However, it is too high.

1 gallon = 3.785 liter

$1 = 82.99 Yen

Calculate...

$6.613/gal o(*'o'*)o

If you live in Tokyo, Osaka or some big cities, you do not really need to drive.

but in many of other cities, that still needed.

Are we still Lucky?(゚_。)?

This picture says,
Regular
172 Yen/L (= $7.94/gal)
Membership Price

How much is the Non-Membership Price? w( ̄△ ̄;)w

Cars

I drive Nissan XTERRA.

Yes, TERRA drives XTERRA. (v ̄▽ ̄)

But XTERRA's lease term is almost over.

What should I drive next.

I like XTERRA, but its gas mileage is not really good.

O.K. Let me see what cars are on the street.

Oh! I found an SUV what I like

"Land Rover"

It is little bit too pricey to me.

Oh! nice car is at parking meters.

Yeah nice! .... sure nice!! (;´▽`A``

What cars are driving?

"BMW"

Another "BMW" is followed by "Jaguar".

"Mercedes"

mmm...

Yeah! it is Beverly Dr, a lot of rich people are driving the street.

O.K. Let me see in an alley.

Oh!
"Prancing Horse"

My friend, Joan a French guy called me.

"Hey Terra! What are you taking picture for?"
"If you are going to buy new car, buy same as mine. It's great!!"
Yes.... I know... It is sure "great".

The Governor Terminator was driving same car another color when I saw him.

I better not see cars in Beverly Hills... maybe...

Do you have any recommendation?

Hina Matsuri "Doll Festival"

March 3rd was Hina Matsuri (click here go to wiki).

People display the Hina dolls on platforms about a month until March 3rd.

Families pray their girls' happy wedding.

So if the family does not have girl, they do not celebrate Hina Matsuri.

There is a rule.

They say, "if you do not put the dolls away until end of the day of March 3rd, the girls' wedding will be late".

Look at her, your Japanese single friend.

Her family forgot put the dolls away at the night of March 3rd.

Hot Bath

I recommend Hot Bath to my patients often.

Especially cold day.

Do not take it long when you are already sick.

Your immunity may lose the balance.

If you have lower back problem, soak lower half of your body.

Just for fun, just do like her.
