Traffic Lights

This is a set of Traffic Lights in U.S. as you know.

Green light is at bottom, Red is at top and Yellow is in the middle.
It is vertical set usually.

This is another set, but in Japan.

The color order is same.

However most Traffic Light in Japan are horizontal row.

Red is at right side.
Green is at left.
Of course yellow is in the middle.

I have not seen the Traffic Light with horizontal row in this country since I came here in 1996.

I may have seen, but I could not remember any of those.

But finally...

You may know where these are.

The order is Red, Yellow and Green from left side, which is opposite order of Japanese's.

Because cars go on left lanes in Japan, so the order of Traffic Lights are opposite too.
Red is located closer to middle of a load.

I was expecting that but finally I confirmed it.

By the way, Terra = Acupuncturist = Primary Care Practitioner.
I handle car accident cases too.
I treat whiplash or other injuries from traumas.

However best thing is avoid to be involved to accidents.
Drive safe!

Especially if you see this kind of Traffic Lights. (^^)V

Pathogenic Factors

Ancient Asian people thought 6 pathogenic factors exist in this world.

Those are Wind, Fire, Summer Heat, Dampness, Dryness and Cold.

Many people complain headache, joint pain, muscle pain in rainy days.
Those are made by Dampness attacks your body.

Dampness interferes your energy flow (Qi movement) and/or blood flow.

Western science considers atmospheric pressure is the cause of above problems.
Atmospheric pressure is high in sunny days and it is low in rainy days usually.

Most people feel comfortable sleeping with a blanket top on your body.
It is a little extra pressure for you.

People who have lower back problem lap a wide belt (supporter) on their waist.
It is an extra pressure too.

Many people feel sick in high altitude such as top of mountain.
There is lower pressure than most area in LA.

Now you know. High pressure is comfortable and low pressure is uncomfortable (very different to blood pressure).

If you have any of above problems in cold rain day, you may better soak your body into the hot bath end of the day.
It worms up your body and give you a little extra pressure.

And,
old Chinese book mentions that acute urinary discomfort, acute vaginal discharge, acute skin disease with vesicles or papules, acute digestive upsets occur by dampness, too.

If you have these problems, hot bath maybe not enough for you.
Please let me know, acupuncture works them.

Please drive special carefully in the rain.

And you better not ride bike.
It is so dangerous.

Doctor

I attended Continuing Education at January 31st.

My association reported, there is an idea that all acupuncturist get the title "First Practices Doctor".
They said, All acupuncturist must have 800 hours additional classes.
Many acupuncturist already have 30, 40 years practice experience though.

They also said, "some acupuncture associations are pushing this bill".

I may understand what the associations think about, because many people in U.S. are misunderstanding a thing.

Acupuncturists must be LAc (licensed acupuncturist) by passing state board exam in California.
And I have a title "MSOM" that is Master of Science in Oriental Medicine, which people who graduated Samra University can receive.
Acupuncturists from other school have MAOM (Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), MOM (Master of Oriental Medicine) and so on.

A problem is that many people in U.S. believe "Doctors do Medical Practice".
It is NO. or yes in some cases.

The correct is "Physicians do Medical Practice".

So the associations may think that we get the title "Doctor" is easier than tell the fact all people in U.S.

In Japan, most of surgeons, especially in ER are "Bachelors".
And of course they are Physicians.
I have heard surgeons are called "Mister" in U.K.

One of the teachers in my college named Dr. Hurd who is a Doctor of Music.

He doesn't do any Medical Practice. (^0^)
